At a government meeting, Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that the group would be headed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca.
Kurti said the process requires a state and national approach that transcends political divisions and brings institutions together around a common objective. The group, he said, will include institutional and parliamentary representation and coordinate legal, institutional and diplomatic support during the appeal proceedings.
The prime minister stressed that establishing this mechanism gives concrete form to the commitment to use all available means in the service of justice and the defense of the historical truth about the liberation war.
