Kosovo extradites wanted man from Belgium; German wanted by Spain arrested in Pristina, both on Interpol list

Kosovo Police have brought to Kosovo from Belgium a Kosovar citizen who was wanted under an INTERPOL international arrest warrant, while in a separate operation in Pristina they detained a German citizen wanted by the Spanish authorities, also under an INTERPOL international arrest warrant.

In the first case, on Wednesday, the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination with other police units and justice institutions, carried out the extradition of the Kosovar citizen with the initials L.B. from Belgium to Kosovo.

According to the announcement, he had been arrested by the Belgian authorities after INTERPOL had declared him wanted through an international wanted notice issued by justice institutions in Kosovo.

After the extradition, L.B. was handed over to the relevant Kosovo Police units in the Prizren region, where legal procedures will continue.

Also on Wednesday, at around 13:45, officials from the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination with the police in the Pristina region, arrested the German citizen with the initials A.J.

Police said he was wanted by INTERPOL on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued by the authorities in Spain.

Under the order of the duty prosecutor, the detainee was sent into police custody for 48 hours, while the procedures предусмотрed by law will continue against him.
