Konjufca receives the EP’s rapporteur for Kosovo, Riho Terras, with EU integration in focus

Glauk Konjufca, acting First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, held a meeting with MEP Riho Terras, the European Parliament’s standing rapporteur for Kosovo.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, the meeting discussed political developments in the country, the formation of new institutions after the parliamentary elections, as well as Kosovo’s path toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

During the conversation, Konjufca praised the European Parliament’s contribution in support of Kosovo’s European aspirations and at the same time thanked MEP Terras for his involvement regarding developments in the country.

The meeting also underlined the importance of Kosovo’s application for membership in the European Union being treated with due attention, in order to pave the way for advancing the country’s candidate status and the start of membership negotiations.

The ministry said that Kosovo remains committed to advancing its European agenda, deepening cooperation with EU institutions, and fulfilling the necessary criteria for full integration into the European Union.
