Koçeku Responds to Braçe Over Agritourism Ownership: Three Generations, Zero Documents — From Ramiz Alia and Shaban Tapia to Erion Llafia, the State Has Lacked the Will

Independent MP Marjana Koçeku has responded to statements by Socialist MP Erion Braçe, who raised doubts over whether “Neomalsore Agroturizëm,” an entity linked to Koçeku, has an ownership certificate for the land on which it operates.

In a social media post, Koçeku sarcastically challenged Braçe’s position. She said her family has lived in the area for three generations but still has no ownership documents for the land. According to the MP, the situation raises the question of whether the residents or the state—which has failed over the years to resolve property issues—is responsible.

“No, Mr. Braçe, I do not have the documents. My mother came there as a young woman, became a mother and then a grandmother. Three generations have lived there, with zero documents,” Koçeku wrote.

She went on to ask the MP whether the lack of documentation was due to insufficient will on the part of her parents and local residents, or to the failure of state institutions to act.

“So, you tell me: did my parents and the residents of those areas lack the will, or did the state lack the will? Explain it to me, since you have been in the legislature for almost as many years as I have been alive,” the MP said.

Marjana Koçeku’s response comes amid the debate over ownership and documentation for land used for economic activities in rural areas.
