Kilometre-Long Queue at Croatia-Montenegro Border, Diaspora Members Stranded for Over 12 Hours

For more than 12 hours, our compatriots have been stranded in a queue several kilometres long at the border between Croatia and Montenegro.

According to reporting by IndeksOnline, traffic has slowed due to technical problems during the verification process at the border checkpoint.

Hundreds of diaspora members travelling towards their homeland shared their experience with io, saying the wait began in the morning hours.

One compatriot, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he had been stuck in the queue for 12 hours and did not know how far the line extended behind him. He said that, although there were 15 kilometres left to their destination, they had been waiting there since the morning. According to him, no one knows the reason for the situation, while people are being punished by the long wait. As he said, there are children, elderly people, women and sick people in the queue, as well as many travellers who have run out of food.

He also reported that an ambulance had just arrived to assist the travellers.
