Edmond (Ali) Sula, who was executed in the early hours of Sunday near the gate of his home in Vorë, was involved in buying and selling property, and one of the main lines of investigation is linked to suspicions of conflicts that may have been related to this activity.

According to police information, preliminary data indicate that the 50-year-old is suspected of having been shot once from behind, just after he parked his vehicle and was entering the yard of his home.

Investigators suspect that the perpetrator used a rifle with a scope, while efforts continue to identify and capture him, as well as to fully clarify the motives for the crime.

Police statement:

On 12.07.2026, at around 00:10, in the village of Bërxullë, Vorë, citizen E(A). S., around 50 years old, is suspected to have been killed with a firearm while he was on the road, moving on foot.

A special investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecution Office, is at the scene and continues its work to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to secure any evidence that will help fully solve it and identify and apprehend the suspected perpetrator(s).

Police services have set up checkpoints and are carrying out searches in the area with the aim of apprehending the perpetrator(s).
