Karim Adeyemi Arrives in Barcelona with Loredana, Set to Become Catalans’ New Reinforcement

Karim Adeyemi is now in Barcelona and just one step away from being officially announced as the new player of Hansi Flick’s team.

The German forward arrived in the Catalan capital on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after 4:30 p.m., to finalize the last procedures ahead of his transfer to Barcelona. He was accompanied by his wife, Loredana, the well-known Albanian artist.

According to reports from Spain, Adeyemi will undergo his medical checkup on Thursday and, if everything goes according to plan, will sign the contract with the Catalan club immediately after the examinations.

After several days of intensive negotiations between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, the parties have finalized the forward’s transfer.

The Catalan club will pay 22 million euros as a fixed sum, while the deal also includes 7 million euros in bonuses, bringing the total value of the operation to 29 million euros.

In fact, the agreement had been reached in principle last week, while over the past few days the financial details and necessary documentation for the transfer have been completed.

For this reason, Adeyemi did not join Borussia Dortmund’s pre-season preparations, having been given permission by the German club until his move to Camp Nou was completed.

After signing the contract and being officially announced by Barcelona, the forward is expected to immediately join the team’s training sessions. According to the current plan, he could take part in his first training session with the team on Friday. However, the official presentation before the media and fans will be postponed until next week.

The reason is the absence of president Joan Laporta, who is in the United States for the 2026 World Cup matches. The official presentation ceremony for Adeyemi is expected to be organized as soon as Laporta returns to Barcelona.

With his arrival, Adeyemi is expected to become Barcelona’s second reinforcement for the new season, as Hansi Flick continues building the squad for the upcoming edition.
