Kallas: The Attack on Kryvyi Rih Was Organized Terror; Russia Is Trying to Make Ukrainian Cities Uninhabitable

The death toll from the Russian attack on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih has risen to 16, while around 130 other people have been injured. The incident was condemned by Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

In a statement on X, Kallas described the strike as a planned act of terror, saying that Moscow’s aim is to turn Ukrainian cities into uninhabitable areas.

“This is planned terror. Russia wants to make Ukrainian cities uninhabitable,” she wrote.

Kallas also announced that she had put forward a proposal for the “most comprehensive” package of sanctions against Russia since the start of the war.

“I am proposing the broadest sanctions listings against Russia since the beginning of the war. Pressure must be intensified until Moscow ends the war,” the EU’s High Representative declared.

She announced that the foreign and defense ministers of EU member states would consider the possibility of increasing aid to Ukraine. The focus will be on strengthening air defenses and anti-missile capabilities.

The discussions are expected to take place in Dublin in less than two weeks.
