Italy begins use of body cameras for police, Salvini comments on death of Moroccan in Bologna

Italian authorities have started equipping railway personnel with body cameras, a new initiative aimed at strengthening security and increasing transparency during field operations.

During the presentation of these devices, Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini also addressed the case of Abderrahim Fakir, a 42-year-old Moroccan citizen who died during an arrest procedure in Bologna. “I am convinced that the situation will be clarified and that those seeking justice will receive justice,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Rabat has called on Rome to conduct a thorough investigation.
