Last evening, the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate (IQMT), together with the Kosovo Police, inspected economic operators in several municipalities in the north of the Republic of Kosovo. The inspections aimed to verify the legality of their operations and compliance with the requirements for conducting business activities.
Inspectors closed a total of seven businesses because they did not meet the minimum technical requirements: five in Mitrovica and two in the Municipality of Zvečan.

During the operation, one business was also found to be operating illegally without being registered with the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (ARBK).
In addition to the closure of the businesses, the economic operators were issued seven fines for the violations identified.
IQMT announced that inspections will continue throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, with the aim of ensuring compliance with the law, formalizing economic activity and protecting consumers.
The institution called on economic operators to meet the minimum technical requirements and conduct their activities in accordance with the legislation in force.
