Investigations begin to shed light on the killing of a 46-year-old man in Tirana

The serious incident reported this evening in the Paris Commune area of Tirana has been clarified.

Speaking live, journalist Xhensila Kodra provided details about the serious incident in Tirana, where a person was found dead inside his vehicle.

According to Kodra, the circumstances remain unclear, and it has not yet been determined whether this was a murder or a suicide. Investigators have not yet opened the door of the car where the victim is located.

Initial suspicions are that a weapon fitted with a silencer was used.

Xhensila Kodra said that the victim, Ismet Habili, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the curb of an apartment building. She added that he was not known to police as a problematic person.

The incident took place in the 1 Maji area. Police were alerted by a citizen who had noticed a damaged car. For the time being, it is not known whether this was a murder or a suicide, as the authorities have not yet opened the vehicle’s door.

The victim was found inside his car, having been shot in the mouth. Investigative procedures are underway.
