Inaugated just 10 days ago, bridge collapses; cost 40 million lekë, leaving residents of Ketë village in Klos isolated

Just ten days after it was inaugurated by the municipality, the bridge connecting Ketë village in Klos to the Arbër Road collapsed following the first autumn rains. As a result, residents have been left isolated, and children are unable to go to school.

Residents had repeatedly called for the bridge to be built as early as December 2025. The work was carried out by the company “Bajrami N sh.p.k”, owned by Anduena Bajrami, while Klos Municipality entrusted oversight of the project to the company “TRIANGLE”, owned by Zenulla Mehmeti.

The investment in the construction of the Ketë village bridge amounted to around 40 million lekë. Its collapse immediately after the inauguration has raised serious questions about the inspection and approval process and the way public funds were used.

Klos Mayor Valbona Kola had presented the bridge as an important investment for the community. In a post published on social media on the day of the inauguration, she promised safer and more functional infrastructure that would improve residents’ lives.

After the bridge collapsed three days ago, the post was deleted immediately, while the incident remains outside the reach of social media algorithms.
