In Retrial, Endrit Nika Again Denies Charge of Killing Argentine National in Fushë-Kosovë

Endrit Nika has once again pleaded not guilty at the retrial session for the murder of his girlfriend, an Argentine national, an incident that occurred in Fushë-Kosovë during 2023.

After the indictment was read by prosecutor Armend Hamiti, Nika gave a short answer: “Not guilty,” reports “Betimi për Drejtësi.”

The session continued with the presentation of opening statements by the parties in the proceedings.

The trial panel reviewing the case consists of Gazmend Bahtiri, as presiding judge, and members Alltën Murseli and Gëzim Ademi.

The indictment, filed on February 11, 2025, by the Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, charges Endrit Nika that on August 1, 2023, at a hotel in Fushë-Kosovë, following a prior conflict with his girlfriend, the now deceased M.K-U., he repeatedly struck her and attempted to hit her with a car in the parking lot outside the hotel.

According to the indictment, after both entered the hotel and the room where they were staying, the defendant, with the intent to deprive M.K-U. of her life, continued the altercation and the strikes against her. He allegedly pushed the deceased towards a corner of the room, where she had no possibility of leaving, and, as a result of the strikes and pushes, dislodged the window frame, throwing her from the sixth floor of the hotel.

M.K-U. passed away at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo due to the injuries sustained, despite medical treatment.

Nika is charged with the criminal offense of “Aggravated Murder,” defined in Article 173, paragraph 1, sub-paragraph 1.3 of the Criminal Code.
