A total of eight years in prison was handed down to the defendant identified by the initials B.S. after the Serious Crimes Department of the Basic Court in Pristina found him guilty of human trafficking and minor bodily injury.

According to a statement distributed by the court, the defendant was given a single sentence of eight years.
According to the same source, the detention measure will continue to be applied to the convicted person until the judgment becomes final.
“The court ordered the defendant, once the decision becomes final, to pay 200 euros toward court fees and 50 euros in compensation for the victims of the crime,” the official statement said.
Regarding material damages, the injured party was instructed to pursue the regular civil legal route.
This judgment may be appealed to the Court of Appeals of Kosovo, with the parties able to file an appeal within 30 days of receiving the decision.
