Hollywood brings them back together / Selena Gomez and Timothée Chalamet reunite after 7 years in this film

Selena Gomez and Timothée Chalamet will once again be together in a film project, more than seven years after playing a couple in the movie A Rainy Day in New York.

The two Hollywood stars will voice the main characters in the animated science-fiction fantasy film Not Alone, which is expected to hit theaters on April 16, 2027.

In the film, Selena Gomez plays Fran, a brilliant astro-botanist who develops the world’s first plant-powered rocket. Meanwhile, Timothée Chalamet will be Joe, a withdrawn rocket mechanic who lives alone.

The story becomes complicated when three small and adorable aliens take refuge in Joe’s home as they try to escape a galactic officer. They believe Fran’s rocket can help them return to their planet.

The film comes from Illumination, the studio known for major hits such as Despicable Me and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which has raised expectations for another box-office success.

The news of the collaboration comes more than two years after the viral moment at the 2024 Golden Globe ceremony, when Selena Gomez was seen speaking with her friend Taylor Swift about Timothée Chalamet and his partner, Kylie Jenner.

At the time, a lip-reading expert claimed Selena had said she had not been able to take a photo with Chalamet because she feared it might create awkwardness between him and Kylie Jenner. However, neither Selena nor Timothée ever confirmed that version.

Chalamet and Jenner have been in a relationship since 2023, while Selena Gomez is currently married to music producer Benny Blanco.
