Hita returns to the Trauma Hospital to meet police officers injured in the protest outside Parliament

This Thursday, the General Director of the State Police, Chief Director Skënder Hita, paid another visit to the Trauma Hospital, where police officers injured during the protest held in front of Parliament are receiving treatment.

During his stay at the hospital, he took a close interest in the officers’ health condition and held talks with the medical staff regarding their treatment and progress.

According to the State Police, 15 officers were injured in clashes with protesters, after stones, hard objects and pyrotechnic devices were thrown at law enforcement forces.

During the meeting, the General Director expressed appreciation for the professionalism and restraint shown by police officers in managing the situation. He also assured them of the institution’s support and of the provision of all necessary medical care until their full recovery.

In the Police statement, it is emphasized that Hita once again underlined that officers will continue to carry out their duties in accordance with the law and in the service of citizens, in order to guarantee order, public safety and the protection of the country’s institutions.
