Hundreds of citizens have gathered in front of the main entrances of the Kosovo Assembly, just ahead of the plenary session at which the draft law amending the law on the Specialist Chambers is expected to be reviewed and approved.

The protest is being organized by Çlirim Haziri, who said that MPs would not be allowed to leave the Assembly building without voting on the legal amendments related to the Specialist Court.
The demand to amend the law comes after the Specialist Court’s decision to sentence former KLA leaders.
“Today, we will all stay here until that law is voted on. No Kosovo MP will be able to leave this Assembly without voting on that law. For 20 days and 20 nights, the people have been in the squares of Kosovo and Europe, in every city, for the Kosovo Liberation Army,” Haziri said.
