Haxhiu receives new Swiss ambassador Anne-Lise Cattin Hennin and praises Kosovo-Switzerland relations

Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo Albulena Haxhiu held a ceremony today to receive the credentials of the new ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Kosovo, Anne-Lise Cattin Hennin.

On this occasion, Haxhiu welcomed the ambassador to Kosovo and wished her success in her diplomatic duties. She expressed her belief that Cattin Hennin’s mandate would contribute to further deepening relations between the two countries.

“Kosovo deeply appreciates Switzerland’s friendship and support, which has stood by our citizens during the most difficult times and continues to do so today through political, economic, development and security cooperation,” Acting President Haxhiu declared.

During the meeting, she also highlighted the importance of the Kosovo diaspora in Switzerland in strengthening ties between the two states.

“A special place in relations between Kosovo and Switzerland is held by our diaspora there, which has made a valuable contribution to the economic, social and cultural life of both countries,” the Acting President said.

In closing, Acting President Haxhiu assured Ambassador Cattin Hennin of her readiness for full cooperation, with the aim of advancing the partnership between the Republic of Kosovo and the Swiss Confederation.
