Haxhiu on the 500-euro minimum wage: Any increase that improves conditions for workers is welcome

Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, reacted on Facebook after the decision to raise the minimum wage to 500 euros.

She described this as a welcome step, stressing that workers should be treated with fairer wages and more favorable working conditions.

Raising the minimum wage to 500 euros is an important step toward a fairer valuation of work and improving the well-being of our citizens.

Any increase that improves the lives of workers is a welcome development. It is workers who carry the burden of economic development every day and they deserve fairer wages, as well as better working conditions.

I hope that this step will be followed by full implementation, serious oversight, and continued commitment to protecting and advancing workers’ rights in our country.
