The acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, today took part in the “Race for the Cure Kosova” event, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer and highlighting the importance of early diagnosis.
Haxhiu stressed that the message of this event must reach women who have postponed medical visits, fear the diagnosis, or face barriers in accessing the healthcare they need.

“When it comes to breast cancer, time takes on a completely different importance, and we have a responsibility to ensure women do not lose it by waiting or by encountering barriers that we can and must ease,” Haxhiu wrote.
She urged women to get their check-ups without delay and asked them to share this message with their daughters, mothers, sisters, friends, and colleagues.
“Because in this race, it does not matter who arrives first. What truly matters is that no woman arrives too late,” Haxhiu declared.
