Harsh Reaction from the Imeri Family: LDK Urged to Distance Itself from Abdixhiku and Rama, Alliance with LVV Proposed

The family of the well-known activist Haki Imeri has erupted in strong accusations against the current leaders of the Democratic League of Kosovo, demanding a radical reorientation of the party. In a public statement, they have targeted chairman Lumir Abdixhiku and other top figures, holding them responsible for LDK’s electoral decline.

According to the Imeri family, Abdixhiku should have resigned his mandate immediately after the first electoral defeat that dropped the party to third place. They claim that the same group that once brought him to the leadership is precisely the one now seeking to dismiss him, describing it as a structure that for two decades has politically cohabited with PDK.

The statement emphasizes that LDK will never be able to recover as long as it remains under the influence of these “servile clans” and interest groups that, according to them, serve PDK and SHIK. To emerge from the deep crisis, the Imeri family proposes that the party return to its original spirit and be led by people who have contributed since its founding, not by individuals who have never given any support to LDK.

Another target of criticism is Përparim Rama, whom they accuse as a “corrupt exponent and pathological liar.” According to the reaction, he enjoys the support of Sami Lushtak, a figure convicted of serious crimes, and if he manages to take over the leadership of LDK, the party will sink even deeper into political marginalization.

The Imeri family warns that the election of Perparim Rama would be catastrophic, stressing that in Prishtina he was elected with the votes of PDK and that his character, together with the support of SHIK and criminal groups, is aimed precisely at weakening LDK. As the only solution to survive as a political factor, they see the party’s involvement in the new institutions alongside the Vetëvendosje Movement and Guxo, warning that the experiments so far have been carried out by the internal enemies of the party.

The reaction also mentions that LDK today is in the hands of those who once aimed at the political elimination of Ibrahim Rugova, while his associates were being killed. This historical connection serves to reinforce the call for a deep cleansing of party structures from influences that, according to the Imeri family, have undermined for years the true legacy of LDK.
