Haradinaj after farmers’ protest: The government is targeting local producers

Ramush Haradinaj, honorary chairman of the Alliance for the Future, said the images of farmers pouring milk into rivers and onto roads are grave and alarming.

He stressed that farmers are being pushed toward such extreme actions as a form of protest because of the problems they have been facing in selling their products.

“The caretaker government, with a hostile approach, is directly targeting local producers, the welfare of the farmer, his family and our entire economy.

I call on the institutions to reflect and to take the farmers’ demands seriously and to compensate for the damage caused.

They should not treat them as opponents, but as partners in the country’s economic development,” he wrote.
