Hamza: On September 12, Pristina should become the voice of Kosovo’s truth

Bedri Hamza has expressed his full support, as well as that of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, for the “March for Freedom,” an initiative of the “Freedom Has a Name” platform, which will take place on September 12 in Pristina under the motto “Kosovo Is Waiting.” The march was announced today during a press conference by representatives of the platform.

The leader of the PDK called on citizens to mobilize and take part in the gathering, describing September 16 as an important date for Kosovo and for the truth about the liberation war.

“We are still 25 days away from September 16, an important day for Kosovo and for the truth of our liberation war. As this date approaches, we must once again raise our voice for the history we have lived through and for our freedom fighters,” Hamza said, according to a party statement.

He called on all PDK structures in municipalities, branches and sub-branches to get involved and join the September 12 event.

According to Hamza, other activities will also be held leading up to September 16, aimed at advocating for justice, the freedom of the freedom fighters and their return to Kosovo.

Hamza stressed that participation in the march should not be conditioned by political affiliation, saying that, in his view, this initiative should unite citizens beyond party divisions.

“No one should remain on the sidelines when it comes to defending our truth. Therefore, I invite all citizens, regardless of party, beliefs or political affiliation, to be together in Pristina on September 12. Because this is not a party matter, but a matter of our history, freedom and state dignity,” Hamza declared.

“On September 12, let us all be in Pristina. From every municipality. From every neighborhood. From every generation. Kosovo knows its history. Kosovo is proud of it. And Kosovo will defend its truth by every means,” he added.
