Gostivar Residents Exempted from Paying Water Bills for August

Residents of Gostivar Municipality will not have to pay their drinking water bills for August. The decision was made today by the Municipal Council during a session.

The measure is intended to ease the effects of the crisis and the epidemic, which lasted for one month.

During the meeting, the possibility of exempting residents from payments for several months was also discussed. Council Chairman Valdet Xhaferi said this period could be two or three months, but stressed that such a decision must be practical to implement.

Almir Dauti, director of the public utility company “Komunalec,” said the emergency situation with the water supply had lasted for one month. According to him, waiving the payment for one month was sufficient and should apply to August.
