Google introduces Gemini 3.8 Flash for programming, finance and cybersecurity

Gemini 3.8 Flash is Google’s new artificial intelligence model, designed to complete complex tasks in less time and at a lower cost.

The solution is aimed particularly at programming, financial analysis and the processing of legal documents. It can also be used by autonomous agents that carry out entire processes with limited need for human intervention.

Google explains that the model is capable of examining a problem, interacting with various tools and correcting errors encountered during the process. When faced with more complex tasks, Gemini 3.8 Flash uses additional reasoning steps to improve the quality of its response, although this may result in greater consumption of usage limits.

The company has also released Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, a variant dedicated to identifying and fixing vulnerabilities in computer systems. Because of its capabilities, this version will initially be available only to government institutions, critical infrastructure operators and authorized security professionals.

Regular users can find Gemini 3.8 Flash in the Gemini app, Google’s search service and Google Sheets through AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions. However, full availability will depend on the user’s country and the type of subscription plan.
