GJKKO Confiscates 21 Criminally Acquired Assets, Transfers Them to State Ownership

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has ruled that 21 assets be transferred to the state, partially granting SPAK’s request filed under the anti-mafia law.

The ruling was issued this Wednesday by Judge Irena Gjoka, following a review of the request to confiscate assets linked to Eridan Munoz Guerrero, Deljana Nebiu, Sokol Çamer, Julian Veliu, Lenkos Nebiu, as well as several third parties.

The assets to be administered for the benefit of the state include immovable and movable property, such as apartments, commercial units, houses with land, vehicles, a trailer and bank accounts.

The confiscated assets include several apartments owned by Deljana Nebiu and purchased in Vlora and other cities, as well as commercial units and properties registered in the names of Deljana Nebiu and Eridan Nebiu.

The ruling also includes three houses with land owned by Eridan Nebiu, Sokol Çamer and Julian Veliu, as well as apartments, a garage and a storage unit acquired by Sokol Çamer.

The list also includes an Audi A8, a trailer imported from Italy and several bank accounts holding thousands of euros and millions of lek. These accounts had previously been seized in connection with letters rogatory from the Belgian authorities.

The court also ordered the seizure to be lifted on five other assets, including two apartments, two vehicles and an apartment purchased in 2022.

The confiscation is enforceable immediately following the announcement of the ruling. The assets will be entrusted to the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets, which operates under the Ministry of the Interior.

The parties may appeal the ruling within 15 days before the Special Court of Appeal against Corruption and Organized Crime.
