Gëzim Mekuli Calls for Protests Outside the Headquarters of PDK, LDK, AAK and the Serb List

Journalist Gëzim Mekuli has reacted to the institutional deadlock in Kosovo, saying the situation contains elements of a “coup d’état.”

Through a post on social media, he leveled accusations against the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and the Serb List, which he blames for blocking political processes.

According to Mekuli, citizens should protest outside the offices of these political entities because, as he argues, they are obstructing the functioning of institutions and harming the interests of the Republic of Kosovo.

Coup d’état? Protest outside the offices of PDK, LDK, AAK and the SERB LIST?

According to the Albanian language dictionary, a “PUTSCH” or “coup d’état” is something organized in secret by a limited group of people who do not have popular support;

And what is happening in Kosovo, specifically by the opposition parties LDK, PDK, AAK, SRPSKA LISTA and their media, has clear signs of a classic coup d’état.

Should little Kosovo be allowed to suffer because of quarrels among political parties? Of course not!

Dear readers,

Today it would be right and humane for the people of Kosovo, besides taking part (rightly) in the protests against corruption in Tirana, to open their eyes and also protest outside the offices of the political parties PDK, LDK, AAK and the SERB LIST because of the blockade they are imposing on the people of Kosovo.

The people, through the democratic vote, decide who will lead the state; in this case VETËVENDOSJE won 53 seats so that tomorrow it may govern the state with another political party, right?

Now the opposition — LDK, PDK, AAK and SRPSKA LISTA — are blocking Kosovo; does this action not have elements of a “coup d’état” or a “putsch”?

Consistent to the end: Should there be protests outside the offices of these political parties that are undermining the independence of the Republic of Kosovo?
