According to Gërvalla, cooperation with Ireland should focus on establishing and improving mechanisms for mutual legal assistance, extradition and the transfer of sentenced persons. She said these mechanisms are essential to ensure that national borders do not provide a haven for perpetrators of crime and that the pursuit of justice does not stop at the limits of a country’s jurisdiction.
Gërvalla also highlighted the importance of cooperation with European Union agencies in combating corruption and organized crime. She stressed the need for EU support in implementing justice reforms and advancing Kosovo’s progress toward European integration.
The minister stated that Kosovo does not compromise on corruption and impunity.
