A German citizen was stopped by police today after being caught driving at a speed of 203 kilometers per hour on the A1 motorway near Gevgelija, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

The incident was recorded at 8:00 a.m. on the “Friendship” motorway, near the village of Miletkovë. During a radar check, police officers from the Strumica Internal Affairs Sector – Gevgelija Police Department found that M.F. (46), a German citizen, was driving a BMW with German license plates at a speed of 203 km/h on a section where the permitted speed limit is 120 km/h.
The public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija was informed about the case. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the appropriate charges will be filed against the driver.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs called on all drivers to comply with traffic rules, particularly speed limits, in order to avoid endangering their own lives and those of other road users.
