A 39-year-old man was injured after the gas pipe of a watercraft exploded as he was unloading it from the bed of a transport vehicle in Velipojë.

The incident occurred at around 19:00 this Tuesday, near the Velipojë Border Police Station. According to preliminary information, the man, identified by the initials E. N., was unloading his watercraft from the vehicle when the gas pipe is suspected to have accidentally exploded.
As a result, the 39-year-old suffered burns to his body. After receiving first aid at Shkodër Regional Hospital, he was transferred to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he will receive more specialized treatment.
The investigative team is working to clarify the circumstances and determine the full cause of the incident.
