FSK shows professional skills and high cooperation in “Saber Junction 26

An infantry company of the Third Regiment of the Ground Forces, part of the Kosovo Security Force contingent, was involved in the multinational exercise “Saber Junction 26,” held at the Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany.

During this activity, the KSF unit was integrated into the structure of the 173rd Airborne Brigade of the U.S. Army, specifically in the 3-504 “Blue Devils” Battalion, according to a media statement.

After completing planning, coordination, and adaptive training, KSF members participated in several types of field operations. The engagements included security in support of the battalion’s airborne operation, combat patrols, and defensive actions.

According to the announcement, exercise “Saber Junction 26” provided the KSF the opportunity to advance skills in command and control, in planning and executing operations, and to strengthen interoperability with the U.S. Army and forces of partner nations.

The inclusion of the KSF company in a multinational formation created opportunities to assess its capabilities in a complex and dynamic training environment, in direct cooperation with partner units.

The contingent’s engagement during “Observation Day” was closely observed by the Commander of the Ground Forces Command, Brigadier General Mehmet Lladrovci, and the Command Sergeant Major of the Ground Forces Command, Naim Smakolli. The visit was made to observe the participation, integration, and performance of KSF members in the exercise.

Exercises of this level directly contribute to increasing operational readiness, strengthening professionalism, and developing KSF’s capabilities to operate alongside partner armies in multinational operations.
