From the proceedings two years ago to today’s arrest: what lies behind singer Erind Xhaferi’s case in Fier

Another detail has emerged regarding the arrest this morning of Fier-based singer Erind Xhaferi, who was detained by the Fier Police following a report alleging that he had stalked several underage girls and committed indecent acts toward them. According to reports, Xhaferi had also been subject to proceedings around two years ago following a report of an alleged sexual harassment case. At the time, he was not placed under arrest and the case was pursued while he remained at liberty.

In the latest case, police were alerted following a call to the operations center, in which several girls reported the incident. After receiving the notification, police officers conducted checks in the field and then took action to document the event. Following these actions, Erind Xhaferi was detained and escorted to the premises of the Fier Local Police Directorate, where further procedures continued.

According to preliminary information, the singer is suspected of the criminal offense provided for under Article 108 of the Criminal Code, “Indecent acts.” The investigation into the case is ongoing, while the authorities are working to fully clarify the circumstances.
