Freedom Has a Name” calls for an urgent meeting of the Kosovo and Albanian governments following the Hague verdict

Ismail Tasholli, a representative of the “Freedom Has a Name” platform, has called on the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Albania to hold an urgent joint meeting.

He proposed that the meeting have only one item on its agenda: providing institutional support for defending the KLA war and guaranteeing the funds needed for legal defense.

Tasholli said that statements were no longer sufficient and that concrete action was now needed, as the time available was short. According to him, there should be no more political games linked to electoral interests, but rather cooperation and complete seriousness.

He also recalled the declaration adopted in Albania on Kosovo, as well as Elisa Spiropali’s call for the creation of a joint fund for the defense.

“For this reason, we call on the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Albania to convene a joint meeting as soon as possible, with a single item on the agenda: institutional support for defending the KLA war and securing the necessary funding for legal defense,” Tasholli said.
