At a meeting of the UN Security Council addressing political and security developments in Kosovo, the dialogue with Serbia and the activities of UNMIK, France’s representative praised the resolution of the political crisis and the election of the country’s president.

He described the stability of the institutions and the continuation of the dialogue to normalize relations between Kosovo and Serbia as important.
The French representative reaffirmed his country’s support for the work of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), in coordination with KFOR, as well as for the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX).
France, he added, would continue to support the harmonization and coordination of peacekeeping forces, ensuring that their respective mandates were fully respected.
