Four persons detained in the Tetovo area, suspected of “theft” and “aggravated theft

The Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that on 19.09.2026, at 16:55, in Tetovo, police officers of the Tetovo Police Department, in cooperation with the Criminal Police Department – Sector for General and Violent Crime, arrested S.U. (26) from the village of Pallçisht e Poshtme and A.E. (34) from the village of Llopkovë, municipality of Likovë. They are suspected of committing the criminal offenses “theft” and “aggravated theft”, as provided for in Articles 235 and 236 of the Criminal Code.

During police actions, a passenger vehicle “Audi” with Kumanovo license plates was seized from A.E. Meanwhile, at several locations in the area of the villages Kamjan and Pallçishtë, a hunting rifle, a hunting carbine, a larger quantity of ammunition and cartridges of various calibers, as well as several items suspected to originate from the criminal offenses were found and seized.

On the same day, at 18:50, Tetovo police officers, based on a court order, raided the house and auxiliary premises of B.U. (26) in the village of Pallçisht i Poshtëm. After the raid, he was also arrested.

In the continuation of the investigations, on 20.09.2026, at 02:20, A.A. (34) from the village of Hotël, outskirts of Likovë, was detained at the Tetovo Police Station. He had earlier been arrested by police officers of the Kumanovo Police Department, and a “Volkswagen Polo” vehicle with Kumanovo license plates was seized from him.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that all persons were held at the police station and that, after the full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed against them.
