Former soldier Hafir Hoxha condemns attack on MP: KLA fought for freedom, not violence

Former soldier Hafir Hoxha has voiced his disapproval of the violent actions during the protest and distanced himself from the thwarted attack on MP Fahrush Rexhepi.

According to Hoxha, the attack on Rexhepi was disgraceful and scandalous. He stressed that the MP is the brother of Njazi Rexhepi, a fallen hero of Koshare.

Hoxha called on state institutions to examine the case, while those responsible for the violent act should be held accountable. He also urged veterans and organizations emerging from the war to condemn the violence immediately.

His full post begins with a statement saying that he distances himself from the violent actions of KLA veterans against the families of fallen heroes and state institutions.

Regarding the attack on Prof. Dr. Fahrush Rexhepi, Hoxha stressed that the act was disgraceful and scandalous, adding that violence is incompatible with the values of the KLA.

He deemed the attack and humiliation of MP Prof. Dr. Fahrush Rexhepi unacceptable, especially since Rexhepi is the brother of Njazi Rexhepi, a fallen hero of Koshare.

If the perpetrators were KLA veterans, Hoxha called on them to understand that a true veteran does not humiliate the family of a fallen hero, attack an Albanian or misuse the KLA uniform or symbols.

Institutions must investigate the case and those responsible must be held accountable. Veterans and organizations emerging from the war must condemn this act without delay.

The KLA fought for freedom and dignity, not violence and humiliation, Hoxha stressed. According to him, veterans should not be politicized, and the values of the war should not be exploited for political clashes.

Respect for fallen heroes, according to Hoxha, must begin with respect for their families.
