Five tourists from Germany lost their orientation this afternoon in the remote part of Karaburun, an area with steep and difficult terrain.
The Delta Unit received the notification around 6:00 PM and set off without delay towards the place known as Maja e Qorres, aiming to find and rescue them.
None found
The teams engaged in the operation managed to locate all five tourists. Four of them appear to be in good health, while the other tourist, due to their physical condition, cannot walk without assistance.
Delta Unit officers are currently escorting the group towards a safe area. Due to the severe difficulties of the terrain, the injured tourist is being carried by hand using makeshift means.
The operation remains ongoing, as the distance and the conditions of the area are complicating the full evacuation of the tourists.
