Fire in Fier: Police officers went in private cars to evacuate residents, their vehicles were destroyed

Two personal vehicles belonging to Fier Police officers were completely destroyed by the fire that engulfed the Vadhizë area on September 4. Because of the situation and the need for immediate intervention, several employees of the Fier Local Police Directorate and the Fier Police Station headed toward the danger zone in their private vehicles.

While carrying out their duties, namely investigative operations and the evacuation of residents at risk, the flames spread across a wide area and at great speed.

As a result, two personal vehicles belonging to officers of the Fier Police Station were completely destroyed.

They were the vehicle of Deputy Commissioner A.V., who was engaged in investigative operations, and that of Inspector A.R., who was handling the evacuation of residents from the danger zone.

Further to the information regarding the fire that started in the village of Vadhizë, Qendër Administrative Unit, Fier Municipality, we inform you that on September 4, 2026, given the emergency situation created by the rapid spread of the fire, as well as the need to quickly evacuate residents who were at risk, several employees of the Fier Local Police Directorate and the Fier Police Station headed toward the danger zone in their private vehicles.

Due to the dynamics and rapid escalation of the fire across a very wide area, two personal vehicles belonging to employees of the Fier Police Station were also identified among the damage caused by the fire: Deputy Commissioner A. V., who was engaged in investigative operations, and Inspector A.R., who was engaged in evacuating residents at risk.

Both police employees’ vehicles were completely destroyed by the fire that engulfed the area where they were carrying out their respective duties.
