Fire Breaks Out Near Homes on Elbasan’s Southern Ring Road, Suspicious Sounds Resembling Gunshots Reported

Flames engulfed an area of land on Elbasan’s southern ring road this afternoon, near several homes and a service business, alarming local residents.

After receiving the alert, Fire Service crews immediately arrived at the scene and intervened to contain and extinguish the blaze, aiming to prevent it from spreading toward nearby homes and business premises.

During the operation, several bangs resembling gunshots were heard, according to reports from the scene. The sounds heightened concern among residents and personnel involved in the operation, while their source has yet to be determined. Authorities are expected to shed light on the circumstances once the operation is over.

The firefighters’ swift response brought the flames under control, preventing them from reaching residential properties and the service business.
