Minister Fitore Pacolli announced that the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure has taken measures against entities operating without the necessary environmental authorizations.
During this week, a concrete-processing company in Gjilan was fined, while two companies in Klinë and a factory in Lipjan were ordered to suspend operations due to the lack of the relevant permits.

According to Pacolli’s announcement on Facebook, the inspections also included quarries, as well as operators involved in the processing of meat and dairy products. Particular attention was paid to compliance with environmental permits and the protection of water resources.
The Inspectorate is also monitoring the implementation of decisions made earlier by tracking the situation on the ground. At the same time, the authorities are reviewing complaints submitted by citizens.
The minister warned that inspections would be extended to all sectors that could pose a risk to the environment and that polluting activities or activities in violation of the law would not be tolerated.
Inspections and legal measures against businesses operating without environmental permits will continue.
