A serious traffic accident was recorded on September 11, 2026, at 10:55 p.m. on the Gostivar–Strazhë highway, around 500 meters from a hotel.

According to the report filed with the Gostivar Department of Internal Affairs, two “Golf” cars were involved in the collision. One, bearing Gostivar license plates, was driven by A.I. (34) from the village of Çegran, with H.K. (28) from Gostivar as a passenger. The other vehicle, bearing Tetovo license plates, was driven by D.N. (21) from Tetovo, while the passenger was F.J. (21), also from Tetovo.
The emergency medical doctor who arrived at the scene pronounced D.N., the driver of the vehicle with Tetovo license plates, dead. The other three people were taken for treatment to the Gostivar Medical Center, where they were found to have sustained bodily injuries.
The on-site inspection was carried out by the Public Prosecutor and the inspection team from the Gostivar Department of Internal Affairs.
