F-16s Intervene Near Trump’s Club After Two Civilian Aircraft Enter Restricted Airspace

U.S. F-16 fighter jets intervened after two civilian aircraft entered a temporary no-fly zone near U.S. President Donald Trump’s golf course and private club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said the F-16s were scrambled to intercept the civilian aircraft and then escorted them out of the restricted airspace.

The incident occurred not far from the presidential club, where Trump was staying for the weekend, according to reports by Fox News and the New York Post.

The U.S. military did not disclose the number of fighter jets involved in the response. No further details were released about the general aviation aircraft that had violated the temporary air restrictions.

For security reasons, establishing no-fly zones over or near locations where the U.S. president is staying is standard procedure. Incidents of this kind occur from time to time and usually involve small aircraft whose pilots may be unaware of the restrictions in force.
