European Parliament Calls on Serbia to Normalize Relations with Kosovo

The European Parliament has called on Serbia to normalize its relations with Kosovo, while underlining that its progress on the path toward membership in the European Union is linked to reforms in the rule of law and respect for democratic standards.

In a post on X, the European Parliament wrote: “Serbia must show genuine commitment to the values of the European Union.

Progress toward EU membership is possible only through reforms in the rule of law and the strengthening of democratic standards.

Serbia must normalize its relations with Kosovo. Free and fair elections are needed to resolve the political crisis.”
