Emin Azemi reacts sharply to Vlora Hyseni scandal: Tirana is acting like a “political livestock market

Following the latest scandal in Albania involving Vlora Hyseni, political analyst Emin Azemi has strongly criticized the approach he says Tirana is taking toward political figures from Kosovo.

He commented sarcastically on the appointment of Kosovar officials to Albanian institutions, claiming that the Albanian capital is becoming an “employment agency” for people who have political clashes in Pristina.

“Albanian state offices have become an employment agency for Pristina’s political outcasts,” Azemi wrote.

He went on: “The sarcasm of this political theater becomes even sharper when we see how Albanian state offices have become an employment agency for Pristina’s political outcasts. All it takes is to be declared an ‘enemy’ of the government in Kosovo, and a certificate of patriotism is immediately delivered in Tirana, along with a coveted ministerial or leadership post….. Tirana is acting like a political livestock market, where officials are judged not by their intellect but by the extent of their resentment toward Kosovo’s legitimate prime minister…..”
