Tirana has been engulfed in chaos today, as the student protest, which began at 2:00 p.m., is still continuing. The protesters have expressed their opposition to and anger at the government.
During clashes with police forces, one student reportedly suffered a fractured leg. News24 confirms that the young man is in a coma.

The situation remains tense and escalated. The students entered the premises of Tirana City Hall, while later dispersing into several other areas of the capital.
Trash bins were also set on fire during the protest, while a fire was lit in the New Bazaar area.
Particular concern has been caused by the violence used by police during efforts to disperse the protesters. Many students were punched and struck with batons.
