Diaspora protests for justice for Kosovo’s liberators as Prishtina rallies continue for a 12th night

Members of the diaspora are expected to hold rallies today in several European cities in support of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders and in opposition to the Special Court’s verdict in The Hague.

Under the slogan “Not in my name,” protests will take place in London, Oslo, Geneva, Treviso, Lindau and Skopje.

In Skopje, the rally will be held in Skanderbeg Square, starting at 14:00. In London, the protest is scheduled from 15:00 to 18:00 at Richmond Terrace, while in Oslo, participants are expected to gather from 13:00 to 14:00 at Eidsvolls Plass.

Meanwhile, residents of Prishtina will return to Skanderbeg Square tonight. The rally begins at 21:00 and will be held for the 12th consecutive night, under the slogan “Not in my name,” in opposition to the Special Court’s sentencing verdict in The Hague.

The day before, the Albanian diaspora held protests in Ulm, Frankfurt and Hamburg in Germany, as well as at Kansalaistori in Helsinki, Finland, KosovaPress reports.

The aim of these protests is to oppose the Special Court’s sentencing decision against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
