Cyberattack on the State Audit Office Server

The State Audit Office’s server has been hit by a cyberattack, the institution announced. Phishing messages aimed at deceiving recipients are being distributed through the official email address of Director Maksim Acevski.

The statement said that these suspicious messages had reached recipients across North Macedonia, as well as the Office’s international partners.

The institution is urging citizens and institutions not to open the messages and to avoid clicking on any links contained in them.

The Information Technology Department has already been engaged to resolve the problem, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs has also been notified of the incident.

Despite the attack, the State Audit Office’s official website continues to operate normally, and audit reports continue to be published on it.
