This Wednesday, during the reading of the judgment in The Hague, the presiding judge also addressed the responsibility of the former KLA leader, Jakup Krasniqi.

According to the court, Krasniqi encouraged the commission of crimes against persons considered opponents by the KLA.
The presiding judge stated that, in accordance with the common purpose, Krasniqi had appointed loyal persons to key positions for implementing the policy against opponents.
“Mr. Krasniqi encouraged the commission of crimes against persons considered as opponents through the KLA. In accordance with the common purpose, Krasniqi appointed loyal persons to key positions with the duty and implementation of the policy against opponents. Krasniqi had knowledge of a significant number of crimes. Despite his knowledge, he took no steps to prevent or punish these crimes. All four accused are criminally responsible in the joint criminal enterprise,” the judge read.
