A video published on social media, showing three girls assaulting a teenage girl, has sparked a strong reaction in public opinion.

The mother of the assaulted 17-year-old recounted how she found out what had happened, emotionally describing the difficult moments when her daughter told her everything.

“I filed a report a month ago, but nothing has been resolved. For a month I haven’t slept because of fear and terror. I took my daughter to a hairdressing course. I was waiting for her as I do every day, but they called me and told me that my daughter had fallen ill, had been put on an IV, but had not told anyone anything.

My husband came to get me and said: ‘Our girl was sick.’ I thought to myself, maybe something happened, like with all girls her age. I set off to pick her up, because I didn’t want her to wait for the 16:00 bus. She came running, terrified. She was holding the IV in her hand. I said to her: ‘What’s wrong, sweetheart, why are you hurt? Who hurt you?’ She told me: ‘Nothing, I just got an IV and, because I was alone in the hospital, I got upset.’

‘But why is your eye blackened, my daughter?’ I said to her. ‘Why is your chin bruised?’ I said to her. ‘Why is your hair like this?’ I said to her.

As soon as we entered the house, I tried to find out something, but she would not speak.

At first she said they had exposed her on social media. Then she told me: ‘Three girls assaulted me.’ ‘Why, my daughter? I take you to the course and wait for you to come back home. Have you ever bothered those girls?’ I asked her. ‘No, mom, I have nothing to do with those girls. They simply said to me: “Come with me, we have a surprise.”’

They were simply acquaintances she knew by chance. Apparently they had seen each other once, maybe twice, if I’m not mistaken. They approached her after she had left the course. That was when she was shaken. It was 6 in the afternoon. I told her: ‘Something has happened to you. Mom is here with you.’ Then she started crying and trembling. After that we went to the police, where we filed the report as well,” she said.
