A serious incident with one fatality and one injured person occurred on Friday morning in the village of Vidhisht, Roskovec.

A 35-year-old man is suspected of killing his 58-year-old former father-in-law with a shotgun and wounding his former mother-in-law, who is in hospital under medical care.

After the crime, the suspected perpetrator fled the scene by car together with his ex-wife, whom he took hostage, taking the shotgun with him.

“We heard a noise, they were shouting inside. He was saying: ‘Come here, I’ll kill you all.’ Then we notified the police and they arrived. He was armed. He came out from behind the house, through the window. He had left the car. He took the girl as well and fled. He has been arrested three times and then released.

He went to Tirana for weapons, they put him in, and released him after a month. Here he was under house arrest, because he was making threats. He told the girl: ‘You won’t live a life without me. I’ll kill you all.’ The murder was premeditated. When I went inside, I found them both lying down,” said the victim’s brother in Roskovec.
